This is SaMe THeRaPy channelling The Oils, remembering that singing about change is not the actual change.

In interviews from the time, Midnight Oil talked about the ferocity that informed their music, particularly from the 10-1 to the 'Dead Heart' period, culminating, perhaps in playing in the middle of lunchtime New York outside the Exxon HQ in early 1990. I had he fortune of meeting the band a few weeks prior, in their green room at Bourge Festival, France. Martin R. gave me a set of strings for my Jap Strat, so I could continue to 'busk for bread' all the way back to Amsterdam.
